In Sanremo also the Festival of flavors and typical Ligurian products. PDO Riviera Ligure oil at Palafiori

In 2020 the Palafiori hosted both Casa Sanremo and the Dopofestival, not to forget about about other TV shows. This meant relevant crowd attendance.

On the 6th, the Roof Liguria hosted a B2B session – organized by the Agenzia di promozione turistica In Liguria – dedicated to the positive performances of tourism offer in Liguria. Focus on agri-food excellences, thanks to the presence of the Chambers of Commerce of Genoa and Riviere di Liguria. Certified Genova Gourmet Bartenders put themselves to the test with limited edition cocktails.

On Friday 7th, the president of Regione Liguria Giovanni Toti delivered the Soundies music award 2020 and a career award to Massimo Morini, leader of Buio pesto, who in 2020 has reached his 30th consecutive Festival participation as orchestra director or technical director. Furthermore, young Rita Longordo from Sanremo, the winner of the last edition of the Zecchino d’Oro, received a special award and performed.

Regione Liguria is back in Sanremo, a miss-not event fit to promote the best of the region, including its gastronomy – comments the president of Regione Liguria Giovanni Toti-. Last year Casa Sanremo was visited by 80 thousand people, and all of them walked through the Spazio Liguria area. This year we are confident numbers have grown, given the even more central location of the Palafiori on occasion of this 70th edition. Promoting Liguria in prime time on Rai 1 on the evenings of the Festival means bringing the music of the Carlo Felice theatre and regional landscapes, from Ponente to Levante, into the homes of millions of Italians. As always, a 10% Ligurian prize (offered by Regione Liguria) for the winner of the “New Proposals” section: a filigree lantern from Campo Ligure. A symbolic choice, very precious, linked to an area which has recently been hit by bad weathers and that, like Genoa immediately after the collapse of Ponte Morandi, has been able to stand up again”.
